Bwalya Kampamba

Bwalya Veronica Kampamba is a devoted Mother of 2 girls. Professionally, she is a Career Program Manager at the Wildlife Conservation Network (WCN), where her passion lies in empowering early to mid-career conservationists from indigenous African communities. Her mission is to bolster their careers and technical expertise in conservation, ultimately driving impactful change in wildlife conservation.

Before her tenure at WCN, Bwalya played a pivotal role at the British High Commission in Zambia. There, she skillfully managed bilateral matters concerning illegal wildlife trade and actively promoted UK-funded conservation initiatives. With a rich background in the conservation sector, she has also contributed her expertise to other renowned organizations like the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and ConservationLower Zambezi (CLZ).

Bwalya's journey has led her to accumulate vast experience in project management, research, and ecological practices. Notably, she has spearheaded sustainable development projects specifically aimed at benefiting communities residing in proximity to protected areas.
