Eric is the Zoological Manager for African Animals at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens where he works to support a team of passionate animal husbandry professionals in the care of a variety of African species each day. In supporting the needs of his department Eric assists with the aim of connecting zoo visitors to the natural world and helping the zoo to lead its community in how to make an impact locally and abroad. His primary goal includes leading teams of animal keepers in their effort to increase the impact of their care upon the lives of a variety of animals within the zoo and at an offsite breeding center. He previously worked for Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and White Oak Conservation. He studied Biology and English at Jacksonville University in Florida and happened upon the field of animal husbandry via an opportunity during college.
