Melissa is an audiovisual productions specialist at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center. She leads teams in creating digital educational content and campaigns to protect various wildlife species and their habitats, to include wildlife in the United States, the Caribbean, Central, South America, and Africa. Previously, Melissa developed many strategies and products as part of her media production and public affairs roles for multiple federal agencies in Puerto Rico and the United States. Melissa’s natural ecosystem is tropical rain forests, where she was raised, ten minutes away from the beach on the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico, where she had the opportunity to study and complete her college education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in TV and Radio Communications from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s degree, specialized in advertising, from the University of the Sacred Heart.
